Transform Ideas into 3D Models with AI
Use artificial intelligence, intelligent prompts, and Python scripting to accelerate your Rhino workflow.
Where architectural creativity meets computational intelligence.
Introduction
Are you ready to transform the way you design and model in Rhino?
AI-Powered Modelling in Rhino is a practical course created for architects, designers, and students who want to integrate artificial intelligence into their architectural workflow.
You will learn how to transform written prompts and reference images into structured instructions, generate Python scripts, and run those scripts directly inside Rhino 8 to create editable 3D geometry.
The course focuses on a complete AI-assisted workflow:
Image → Prompt → Python Script → Rhino 3D Model
Rather than replacing the architect, AI becomes your intelligent design assistant—helping you explore ideas, automate repetitive tasks, generate complex geometry, add architectural details, and save valuable modelling time.
1. AI Powered Design Workflow
Learn how to communicate effectively with AI and convert architectural ideas into clear modelling instructions. You will understand how to structure prompts that describe geometry, dimensions, materials, construction sequences, and design requirements.
2. Image-to-3D Modelling
Discover how to analyse architectural reference images and transform their visible characteristics into detailed prompts and executable Rhino Python scripts.
You will learn how AI interprets:
-
Building massing and proportions
-
Curves and surface continuity
-
Façade systems and openings
-
Structural rhythms
-
Materials and colours
-
Architectural details
-
Spatial relationships
3. Prompt-to-Script Generation
Learn how to write accurate prompts that instruct AI to generate Python scripts specifically for Rhino 8.
The course will show you how to define:
-
Project dimensions and geometry
-
Modelling sequences
-
Layers and object organisation
-
Materials and colours
-
Parametric variables
-
Construction animations
-
Editable architectural components
4. Script-to-3D Model
Run AI-generated Python scripts directly inside Rhino and watch your project develop as editable 3D geometry.
You will learn how to review the results, identify modelling errors, correct the script, regenerate elements, and continue developing the model manually using Rhino’s native tools.
5. Intelligent Design Development
AI can help you move beyond basic massing. You will learn how to use it to add and refine:
-
Façade systems
-
Curtain walls
-
Floors and slabs
-
Columns and structural elements
-
Doors and windows
-
Interior divisions
-
Materials
-
Landscape elements
-
Architectural details
6. Time-Lapse Construction Animation
Learn how to create scripts that build the model progressively, allowing you to present the modelling process as a construction-style time-lapse animation.
7. AI-Assisted Visualisation
Explore how AI can support your visualisation workflow by helping you define materials, lighting, atmosphere, camera intent, and rendering prompts while preserving the original architectural design.
8. Editable and Expandable Rhino Models
The generated model remains inside Rhino, allowing you to:
-
Edit the geometry
-
Change dimensions
-
Add further details
-
Continue modelling manually
-
Apply materials
-
Prepare drawings
-
Export the project to other software
-
Develop the concept into a more advanced architectural model

Course Methodology
Each exercise follows a clear and practical process:
01 — Image to Prompt
Analyse an architectural image and extract its geometry, proportions, materials, façade logic, and design characteristics.
02 — Prompt to Script
Convert the architectural description into a detailed prompt that guides AI in generating a structured Python script for Rhino 8.
03 — Script to 3D Model
Run the generated script inside Rhino and automatically create editable architectural geometry.
04 — Add Architectural Details
Develop the generated model by adding slabs, façades, openings, structural components, materials, and other design elements.
05 — AI Works with You
Use AI as an interactive modelling assistant to modify the script, solve errors, explore alternatives, and improve the model progressively.
06 — Real-Time Visualisation
Prepare the model for materials, lighting, presentation, and AI-assisted rendering workflows.
